Analy­sis of Cross-Polarization Mod­u­la­tion in Dispersion-Managed DWDM Systems

Abstract: A sta­tis­ti­cal assess­ment of the non­lin­ear cross-polarization mod­u­la­tion is pre­sented. The result­ing dis­tri­b­u­tion of the states of polar­iza­tion is derived while account­ing for var­i­ous prop­er­ties of the link.
