Fibre Non­lin­ear­i­ties in 10 and 40 Gb/s Elec­tron­i­cally Dis­per­sion Pre­c­om­pen­sated WDM Transmission

Abstract: Fiber non­lin­ear­i­ties inWDM­sys­tems using lin­ear elec­tronic dis­per­sion pre­c­om­pen­sa­tion are stud­ied at high bit rates. In con­trast to 10 Gb/s sys­tems, only a small per­for­mance degra­da­tion due to non­lin­ear­i­ties was found at 40 Gb/s.
